We used to attend a Unity church where the bowls were frequently burning away those things we wanted to release. Now I have a version of sorts myself when I burn last season's Christmas tree in a bond fire and we all salute the wonderful blaze! Amazing how any clearing of clutter gives us a lift in energy.

@ Kathy,

I hope you liked the burning bowl ceremony! It's a great way to let things go and invite new things into your life.

Davina,

Thanks for the comment. I agree with you about clutter. It's hard to work when my office is a mess.

@ Jennifer

That's the beauty of this ceremony. You can make it what you need. For example, some people attract what they need by writing affirmations and then reviewing them on a regular basis.

Sara, what a neat ceremony. I think I would change it up a bit, but I love the idea of burning the things we want to let go of. I would say that is very powerful! And being clear on what we want in the new year - clarity is so important.

Sara,

THANK YOU SO MUCH for including the burning bowl ceremony instructions in this post. I'm hereby adopting it as a new year's eve tradition in my house!

Hi Sara. I haven't done the burning bowl ceremony before. But, I have enjoyed cleaning out my closet. I don't like clutter and when I notice things sitting around my space just gathering dust it's time to get organized.
