That is advice we should all take to heart. Most days it is easier said than done, but we should try. I love the mug too. Now I need to find it on a wine glass. Linda´s last [type] ..It Finally Happened!
@ Linda — I would a good saying for a wine glass, however given the length of the quote, the wine glass would probably have to pretty big…and then, you wouldn’t need the quote:~)
Sara, This is so spot on for me! Every time I sew a bag I have to tell myself to enjoy the process. I get so excited about what the finished bag will look like that I am like a wild horse sometimes:) Thanks for the reminder! Valerie´s last [type] ..Art for Everyone
@ Talon — The other nice thing about this mug is I looked up Alexandra Stoddard. She’s a really cool lady. There was an interview with her in her Feb. newsletter; I loved it. She has an amazing outlook on life and seems to live up to her quotes:~)
i was brought up with the saying
‘don’t worry
don’t hurry
don’t forget to smell the flowers’

@ Carrie — Me, too. My mom used to say that all the time. It’s a perfect quote for YOU! You should be smelling flowers very soon? How does the garden grow, Carrie?
Slow Down = Noting will change anyway.
Calm Down = You can trust us.
Don’t Worry = We’ll find what we did with you money.
Don’t Hurry = It’s gone and there is nothing you can do about it.
Trust The Process = You’re sc***** so try and have a good day.

@ Ellis — Whoa! It sounds like things aren’t going so great right now with you? Is there anything I can do?
Whatever is going on, remember it will eventually sort itself out. I know these words aren’t helpful right now, but life does have a way of correcting the balance. Maybe it’s time to start writing again, even if not for the blog….just do it for yourself. Write down ALL the negative stuff…write until you can’t think of anything else. Print it out and then BURN it (in a safe place….you don’t want burn your house down:~) I know it sounds stupid, but it will make you feel better.
I’ve missed you, Ellis. I do hope things get better soon.
Yes! This quote applies to me these days. And I have appreciated Alexandra Stoddard’s writing for many years now and own some of her books.
Incidentally, I wrote recently about trusting your journey, gleaned from a friend who has lived through so much and shared with me at a time when trusting is difficult.
@ Belinda — I couldn’t believe how many people use that quote, but didn’t link to her site. I loved her site and when I visited, her Feb. newsletter had this wonderful interview. She’s one of those people I would love to meet!
