Hi Sara – beautiful shots all the same – and knowing it’s a Tiger Swallowtail is good. So many shots are made to get the best one – lovely photo ..

We’ve had lots of butterflies this year … cheers Hilary

@ Hilary — Thanks for the visit and your comment. Also, I appreciated you letting me know about the problems you had with my blog. Hopefully, all is fixed now:~)

Nice shots. I understand about the one that got away. Butterflies are hard to photograph because they are seldom still for more than a moment.

Nice new look, too. Mine could use an update, but I’m afraid I would have a lot to update if I did.

@ Linda — TY:~) I’m not kidding you about the butterfly. I had one second to click and next he was outta there!

Thanks about my “new look.” It took a long time to find a new theme, but hopefully this one will work better on WP. My old one wasn’t communicating well with WP.

Just beautiful, Sara. I am going to get into photography one of these days! I like the new look! :)

    • Sara says:

@ Jean — You should try photography. Today’s camera’s make it pretty simple. Thank you about the changes at my site. I was sort of forced into making them as my site didn’t like the latest WP update:~)

    A bit of nectar
    On my curled tongue
    I was trying to eat
    Gluttony I had begun

    A crack of a cannon
    Flashing of bright lights
    It made me jump high
As I took off in flight

    It was a photographer
    That had stalled me
    Moving to another flower
    A big spider got me.

@ desk49 — As always, I love when you share your poetry. Fortunately, this butterfly escaped, but I must admit the camera did startle her…and here I thought I was being so quiet:~)

Beautiful shot Sara. You inspire me to get the camera back out and start to really see again. Hope you are having a great summer.

@ Ginny — I’m just pleased you are back. I’ve missed your posts. I hope you will pull out the camera and take pictures, but I must insist that you then create your own beautiful pictures from the photos. I love the ones you put up at your site — the pastels and crayons. They are always calming as well as lovely:~)

I like the new format. It gives your site some definition that’s the attractive to the eye…
Oh, and the “See ya later” shot is just as gorgeous!! :)

@ Gerri — I appreciate your words about the “See ya later” shot. It has it’s “look.” I couldn’t believe how fast she was in her escape!

It took me ages to find a theme I liked almost as much as my other one. It had to be done, however. Thesis was working for me anymore, especially after the latest WordPress update.

Stunning, Sara, really stunning! I’m surprised you ever manage to leave your garden with all the glorious things you have going on there. I know that photographic ‘Gotcha!’ feeling you describe, and there’s nothing quite like it.

I got a shock when I clicked through to your blog. I was worried it might be down completely after I read your email, but here’s a brand new theme and Thesis gone – and I’ve only been away a week! Good luck with all the tech stuff!

@ Janice — Thanks about the picture. I was surprised at how it came out. Yes, I hated giving up Thesis, but it wasn’t working effectively anymore on my site. This was the best alternative and I’m still getting used to it. The nice part is I can make my pictures larger than I was able to using Thesis:~)

Plus, I had help. I have a wonderful blog doctor in Kathy, who has worked with me for a long time:~) I couldn’t have done it without her!
