Nature’s Wisdom – Courage

courage-is-daring-to-bloom

I love these flowers.

They tempt nature by not blooming until the temperature begins to drop.

As trees lose their leaves, these flowers are still baby buds on the bush!

Knowing how beautiful they’ll be, I hold my breath and hope they’ll bloom.

Some years I’m lucky and rewarded with flowers, like the one above.

Other years an early freeze arrives, leaving  flowers and buds  dead on the ground.

This year, the bush took on nature’s dare and is filled with flowers!

I think it’s a good metaphor for all of us…

When winter nips at our hearts, we, too, have to dare to bloom:~)

  1. Hi Sara – glad you’ve opened comments. Love camellias too – though usually only see the pink ones, deep reds and pinks.

Brilliant your bush is full of flowers – a gorgeous addition to the beginning of December’s winter …

A good metaphor for 2017 … we need to prepare now, and dare to bloom in full glory next year …

Have a happy time and all the very best – cheers Hilary

I am planning to keep on blooming with teaching and painting but sometimes the snow messes with my blossoms 🙂 Especially the classes!
    Good to see you back!

How beautiful, Sara – thank you!!

I read this several times and I think it’s also good to remember that whether or not the flowers bloom has zero to do with them being rewarded or punished and everything to do with honoring a natural cycle (winter and their life cycle and external variables that they have zero control over). Such freedom, peace and joy in that remembering!
